Just a warm-up

My Gosh, It's HOT around here at the moment!

Days around 30 C and "tropical nights" (=above 20 C). I know a lot of people enjoy it, but frankly.... I've had enough!!! It's as if my brain is melting.

But I still manage to make new material - I aim to please, even if it means suffering for you :0)

Today's freebie is a warm-up to get you ready for the coming days when I will bring you LOADS of news on both NbF and EBF. So use this to warm up your download finger...

You get a pack of summer fruits to brighten up your work - 7 vintage fruits each as flair, cut-out and sticker.

GTP Day 6 + Add-On Bonus

Day 6 already... There is only 2 more days left of the Garden Tea Party and today is a holiday here in Denmark (Monday holidays are the BEST), so wouldn't it be appropriate to throw in another little Add-On? I think so - and no garden party can be without flowers, even if they are made of fabric.

GTP Day 5

I'm glad my Garden Tea Party is a digital event and not in real time, cause then it would have been canceled today. The rain has arrived :0))) I must admit it's a blessing for me, but I'm not too sure if the thousands of people running the Copenhagen Marathon outside my windows will agree with me... I can only say that if I was to run a marathon (oh yeah - AS IF) I would prefer today's rain to yesterday's heat. But that is not important as I am not - and never will be - running the Copenhagen Marathon. What is important, however, is today's part of the Garden Tea Party - the cooling off-white part, so here you go:

GTP Day 4

Not much chatter today - it's TOO HOT! The keyboard is sticking to my fingertips and the room I'm sitting in is slowly running out of air. So here you are:

Hey.... don't go away yet!

If you have been following this site you probably know that I have been sighing for warmer weather for some time. My wish has been granted - but going from a beautiful but chilly spring to 25C overnight is more than neither my body nor my wardrobe was prepared for. I am sweating bullets - so I have prepared a little Add-On for the Garden Tea Party for you: Popsicles for everyone!

GTP Day 2 + Help needed

I'm back with Day 2 of my Garden Tea Party. But before we get to that I need your help...

Yesterday I received an email from Michele about the "Very Basic Template" posted here. She wrote:

"...First let me say, I love this image!  I just need to figure out how to use it.  I use Memory Mixer software to do my pages and maybe that is the problem, but I cannot make the gray area fill with a chosen paper.  It just stays gray.  Can you guide me in this?..."

As I have NO IDEA how Memory Mixer works I promised Michele to make a shout-out to you. So if you can help Michele with this problem, PLEASE email me and I will make sure to forward it to Michele. Thank You.

And now for the Party. Today's colour is tan (or something in that area).

Garden Tea Party - Day 1

Finally ready...

Today is the first day of my Garden Tea Party, the new (big) kit for my store, that you will have a chance to get free.

Day by day for the next 8 days I will post a part of the kit here on NbF and if you stick with it you will end up having the full kit. The free parts will only be available until 25th May when it is moved to the store. So be sure to drop by every day until 22nd May when the last part is posted.

Since the kit is made from a colour palette of 8 colours I have made a day part for each colour. That means that each day you get a set of different material (elements, papers and alpha) in one colour. The full alpha, however, is broken into pieces with a new piece each day.

To let you know what you're in for, I'll give you the previews for the full kit:

I really hope you will enjoy my Garden Tea Party.

!!!!PLEASE NOTICE!!!!

I have made a "no-no" with the preview for the papers...

It says PU S4H/S4O when it should have been PU.

Please use the full kit as PU only.

A trip down Memory Lane

Today I bring you another used-to-be-SIS product, and that really brought on nostalgia...

This is the first Kit I ever made for sale and I remember being enormously proud of it. When I look at it today I must admit that my reaction is "Ahw, how cute, nice and naive...". I have to say I have grown a bit as a designer since then. That doesn't mean I don't like it. I still love it as my first born. And now I hope you'll love it as well.

Let me introduce you to "Raspberry & Cream Kit":

As it is quite big, I have separated it into 3 zips - download links next to images.

Good news, bad news and a freebie

WOW! Summer has made it's arrival here in Copenhagen... Over night we went from 12 C to 23 C and my body can hardly adjust - not to mention my wardrobe.

Well enough about the weather. I have good news and bad news today and I will start with the good news and finish with a freebie so that the bad news is wrapped up in between and hopefully won't spoil your day completely.

The good new is actually not that new but it is to me and thereby maybe to some of you too. I want to share some great sites with you that provide excellent free stuff with very generous TOUs.

Bizee at http://blog-n-scraps.blogspot.com/ offers a truckload of freebies - papers, elements, alphas and more. All in beautiful colors and styles.

If you are looking for graphics, Belle's Graphics - http://bellesgraphics.com/ - is the place to go. You can get everything from horse to refrigerators, from posers to vintage cars. Everything in high quality and CU...

If you, like me, are in love with colors you must visit Design Seeds - http://design-seeds.com/ - where you'll find hundreds of color palettes in the most awesome color combinations. And the pictures used for the palettes are in themselves an inspiration.

Finally a true heaven for paper (and color) lovers: Mel Stampz - http://melstampz.blogspot.com/ - is offering the most awesome paper sets in wonderful colors and designs, vintage as well a modern. Hundreds of papers (and more) are waiting for you.

Go visit them all as soon as possible - but not yet. I have more for you...

The bad news are REALLY BAD! I am so sorry to tell you that Atomic Cupcake - http://www.atomiccupcake.com/ - is closing down by the end of this month (May). You may have noticed over time that I am addicted to AC's actions and I am right now "stealing" money from where ever I can find them to buy all the actions that I haven't got yet. I wanted to share this news with you in case you too would like some of her stuff before it's too late. Everything is 30% off.

BYE, BYE ATOMIC CUPCAKE - THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!

Well, I have dried my eyes and am now ready for the stuff you really came here for - Today's Freebie:

In honour of Atomic Cupcake I have used one of their actions to make you a Summer Alpha Pack and the color palette is of course from Design Seeds. I hope you'll like...

Phew, that was a lot of posting. I'll go work on your next freebie and come back soon.

Summer?

For some unexplained reason my creativity went into summer mode yesterday. I began thinking of summer garden parties and ice cream and ended up with today's freebie: A paper pack in ice cream colours with a little "bonus sprinkle" on top.

Hope this will bring a little summer into your weekend!

Have a wonderful weekend and see you soon....

Last Taste of Summer

My, have I been busy....

I have made loads of new products for my store at Scrap It Sassy and more are pending for release over the next couple of weeks. I will get back to you about that in a day or two (with a free sampler) but you are more than welcome to stop by the store to take a peek.

As for freebies for this blog I have made you a mini-kit named "Last Taste of Summer". It has a certain strawberry feel to it and I hope you will be able to use the items included and maybe build on from it (color codes are included). So say goodbye to the summer with yummi layouts with this kit - and remember that I would love to see them!

See you in a couple of days...

Two sides of summer

I didn’t have time to finish the freebie I had planned for today so you have to wait for that. But I don’t want to disappoint you so I hurried to the archives and found 2 quick pages I made for myself last year.

They are both made from pictures I took on the island of Bornholm only two days apart - just goes to show the shifting mood of the Danish summer weather…

I hope you can use them - feel free to build on with your own decorations, text, etc.

I’m back with A Little Bit on Friday - see you then?

A Summer Gone

Only 3 weeks ago I was ”bitching” about this summer’s extreme heat and length. Now that the season has changed into a (much) more cold, grey and wet variety I must admit: I miss summer a little bit!

So today’s Little Bit is a photo frame that reeks SUMMER. If you have some summer photos you need to scrap this is the frame to put them in. Hope you like…

Let me end with an old “cliché”: You don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone”. Goodbye and thank you summer - Welcome beautiful autumn!

Have a great weekend and see you soon.
