Your comments DO matter

Those of you who were with me when this blog started years ago may remember that I announced that comments and "thank you"s were not necessary. I did, however, change my mind about that very soon after getting the first comments and feeling the joy and motivation it brought me. Ever since, I have enjoyed every single comment you left me and not a day goes by where I don't check for any new ones. Thank you all for taking the time.

Within the last week or so, the number of serious feel-good comments have been pouring in, and that is why I want to make this post a tribute to comments.

I want to thank all of you who wished me well in relation to my MS. It always makes any kind of illness easier to handle when you have support - even if the support is from "unknown" friends thousands of miles away. The one meaning the most was this one from my very special web friend Sue:
"OMG ... I feel just terrible. I didn't realize that you are in treatments for MS. Please, please know that from this moment on ... you are in my prayers each day. I also want to speak as a nurse, do not, do not overdo. Everyone here in cyberville will want you to keep all your strength up, as well as, your bubbly personality. We are all you "followers" and only want what is best for you. Smiles and hugs being sent you way, lovey. Hugs, Sue"
XOXO right back at you, Sue.

I have also received a handful of the kind of comments that made me smile/laugh. One of them was for an older post but that doesn't matter - I read them all with same pleasure. The post was "The Story of the one left behind" about the little cute alpha, remember? If not, please go read it before reading the comment as it will make no sense without. The comment was from Handmaiden Dotty, who left me more than one pleasing comment, and it goes like this:
"Cute Little Alpha, now don't be sad. A long time has past but I'm very glad...because today I found you and knew you would be, just the right type of Alpha to make me happy. When the weather gets warm for a picnic some day, I'll take some pictures but not put them away. Instead, I'll take you out of my file, and make lovely words to make someone smile. A plaid tablecloth for a background you see, with lots of green grass where you'll look so pretty. My sweet great-grands will look from their picture frame and see your pretty Alpha face spelling their name. Dotty B, 2/17/2013. Just had to do what I do best, write little poems...so here is my thanks for your beautiful alpha and story. I enjoyed both! Bless you dear".
I LOVED IT! - Thank you so much Dottie :0)))

I could go on and on, but let me just end with this last one that is actually the cause of today's freebie.

When I posted my opinion on Pink this time of year, I got this comment from Linda from Arizona:
"You gave me a laugh. I feel the same way plus I hate the color pink. I love rose, raspberry but baby pink I just hate.Your papers are beautiful so I had to snag them. Purples, Teals and Limes are the colors I love. And browns and creams. For the next month, we will see nothing but greens and shamrocks but I know if you make them, they will be beautiful".
When I was reading this one I was actually in the middle of making today's freebie and it almost scared me. There I was making papers in just the colours Linda likes..... What are the chances?

Well, this one is for you Linda, and for all of you other lovely people who light up my life on a daily basis. Thank you for being out there!

I'll be back soon with something other than distressed papers, so stay tuned.

Love you all!

Thank you so much for the papers in "my" colors! I'm not surprised you were making them when I made my comment. I have a weird form of ESP which pops up every once in awhile. Unfortunately not when I want to win the lottery! I really appreciate all the work you do for us who have no idea how to create beautiful papers. It's one of the things I want to learn how to do. It's wonderful that you are so generous to share with us.

I love all your freebies and especially loved the colors in the distressed papers! Hope you take care of yourself and your MS. I have Lupus and you can't ever go back and regain what you lost while you weren't taking care of yourself.
